  • Conceptualized and charteredASLI -the association as India’s premier professional trade association to represent the interests of business and consumers. Chartered a road map for professionally positioning, managing and running the organization and setting up of the ASLI Secretariat
  • Moved the category to an organized sector and being recognized as one.A very challenging role
  • Created a guide to membership and setting criteria for selection and a road map for the association to include leadership planning and management committee and continuity.

GOVERNMENT OF INDIA

Appointed as Chairman of the Empowered expert committee formed by the Govt of India to formulate Standards for the senior Living and care industry of India. Recommended the template and guidelines for base line standards which is accepted as a model for all categories of senior care.

STANDARDWISE INTERNATIONAL (SWI)

  • Working on standards towards evolving Senior Living and Care in India into an organized sector and to protect consumer interest

  • Extensive research and evaluation of standards matrix taking into account criteria’s, indicators, and evidence relevant, unique and sensitive to the Indian context, culture, practices, and ethos
  • Convincing and creating awareness for Industry players to meet the needs of this standardization
  • Introduced and edited the first-ever Standards and accreditation programme for the senior living and care industry in India
  • Ensuring Piloting of standards by members ofASLI. To date, this is the only accreditation programme for this industry – Keeping in mind, strategies and alignment with a global roadmap to support excellence in senior living and health care
  • The Senior Living Standards for India is a comprehensive tome of 110 criteria’s and 514 pieces of evidence. They enable providers of all sizes to self-regulate and continually stimulate improvements in the resident experience, safety, quality, design and practice.
  • A special set of companion documents of 709 pages, has also been developed to support organisations’ fill gaps in their documentation to achieve and exceed the standards.
